What’s The Difference?

Recently you have read about the basics of screen printing and t-shirts in general because you read all of our blog posts, and thanks for that. Since the t-shirt is one of the most basic pieces of clothing that people wear, why have so many different options?

Well, thanks for asking. Allow me to explain some of the major and minute differences between some of our most popular shirt brands and styles.

Gildan – Gildan is definitely the entry-level wholesale garment brand. This is your go-to basic cotton t-shirt. Standard fit, low price point with a huge range of styles, sizing and colour options, no matter what size or body type you are, Gildan has you covered. Pun very intended. Gildan also offers a ringspun cotton SoftStyle shirt as an alternative to their heavier cotton fabrics.

Jerico – 100% made, dyed and sewn in Canada. Jerico also offers a full line of bamboo fibre based garments. Bamboo fibre is growing in popularity due to its natural softness, hypoallergenic qualities, moisture wicking ability and environmental sustainability.

ATC – The Authentic T-shirt Company capitalizes on the popularity of brands like Under Armour and provides quality garments in sportier fabrics. Great for teams and active groups, these comfortable, moisture-wicking polyester or cotton/poly blend fabrics are a very suitable option.

Bella + Canvas – Bella + Canvas have positioned themselves at the higher end of the wholesale garment game as far as price, quality, style and fit. Definitely more fashion forward, yet still specific to wholesale orders, B+C offers a large variety of styles manufactured in factories with W.R.A.P Certified factories.

American Apparel – Existing in both the wholesale and retail clothing markets, American Apparel is the unofficial top dog when it comes to fabric quality, garment styles and fit. Definitely at the higher end of our pricing scale and it is for good reason. The three standard shirts from AA are a 100% cotton shirt, the 50/50 shirt is a more form-fitting cotton/polyester blend while the Tri-Blend fabric is cotton/polyester/rayon shirt that you will likely want to live in every day.
